By default, Visual Enterprise uses Microsoft Access Jet Engine via the OLE DB Provider available on every Windows system. Access is a shared file database and therefore only suitable for small-scale use. The upper limit is set at 6 concurrent users and/or 250,000 records per database. Once either of these limits is exceeded, switching to the MSSQL Server Edition is strongly recommended . With the MSSQL version, all relevant components of Visual Enterprise are optimized for use with SQL Server. Microsoft SQL Server is highly reliable and operates extremely fast, even with very large databases and heavy multi-user use. With the MSSQL Server Edition, any company can grow without limitations while guaranteeing reliable, smooth, and fast operation of Visual Enterprise.

The MSSQL Server Edition includes data migration to Access and the optimization or reconfiguration of existing customizations, reports, and models. The end result is that after the migration, you can continue working in exactly the same way, preserving all data and functionality.

The required Microsoft licenses for SQL Server must be purchased separately. SQL Server installation and configuration can be provided for an additional fee or outsourced to a (preferably certified) specialist.
